:: Kuching trip; day 2 ::

gud morning Kuching! ..it was a lovely morning tapi it was raining. renyai2 gitew. 

padan la sejuk. padan la lapar. let's go have breakfast everyone! 

breakfast in Basaga banyak variety. mostly menus are all cooked to order. those freebies would be cereals, fruits, juices and coffee. we didnt took d rooms with breakfast sebabnya takot rugi. mana tau ada yang tak bangun pagi ke kan? bazir. but breakfast per head was only RM15. puashati with the portion plak tue...

around noon we headed to the museums in Kuching. one area for 4 different types of museums. i personally love museums...and anything old with facts i dont know. u give me a shopping mall and an old historic building, ill choose the historic building first. im very curious sometimes it annoys people. haha...

first museum was the Muzium Etnologi. this was awesome. ala2 Muzium Negara but with more facts on Sarawak and stuffs. i tweeted on facts i read in the place. if only i can take pictures kann...there was a replica of rumah panjang in the museum. masuk pon bukak kasut kauu...felt like real! tapi bab kata my sis, "umah panjang nie special, sebab ada aircond"..haha obviously! 

next to it was this so-called Akuaria. mainly it's filled with aquariums and fishes. macam-macam jenis. there was also a like a small pond filled with kura-kura. like banyak giler kura-kura k...they were actually lepaking ala-ala tengah sun bathe gitew..hewhewhew. we made like one whole round of the place and played the 'cuba-cari-ikan-itu' game..hahaha..sebabnya some of the aquariums air pon dah tukar color so nak cari ikan sampai ada yang x nampak! saja for fun..hehe..

then 2nd museum was the Art Museum. it was rather small but it was a definitely a nice gallery of arts. they made a replica of ayam jantan from tins of heineken! there was also this one particular part of an ancient zaman dulu2 door yang ada carvings of art on it. dat one caught my attention. couldnt take my eyes of it. cantik sangat walaupon lama. 

3rd museum was the Muzium Sejarah Semulajadi. unfortunately we tak masuk pon kat sini. they were having an exhibition on types of rocks. no...not as in rock kapak ye adik adik..it's as in rocks the jenis2 batu. we passed on that one. went straight to the seberang side of the road, Muzium Sarawak. 

Muzium Sarawak was full of history. about Sarawak, about zaman2 kolonial, about zaman2 James Brooke and all. it's filled with pictures too...interesting indeed. there's this one wall filled with pelbagai etnik/kaum2 di Sarawak. a lot of stuffs to learn. but we didnt stay long in the muzium. maybe sebab dah penat. or maybe sebab dah lapar. we paling lama duduk dalam kedai souvenier ..haha..borong...sakan! i bought for my sister in Sydney a fancy watch made of kayu. me and my other sister bought one too. sedondon gitewwww...ntah bila nak pakai dunno yet. probably raya kot.. -______-" raya is usually the only time kitaorang bertiga akan pakai something yang seakan sama. it's a sister-thingy. kuikuikui..

then we got hungry. rupanya it was nearly 4.30pm dah! padan la baekkk nye keroncong perut kan. since there was no shuttle waiting for us, we walked down to the town area to find a cab or shuttle. main destination; seafood center "Roof Top" ( bak kak lily ) ...then maksu plak cakap it was " Roof Stop"...but when i sms-ed Alisa, she said it's called "Top Spot" ...confident je masing2 kan? LOL!! 

walking around the town area, which i dont normally do in penisular (kekwat x ayat?) was interesting yet melaparkan us even more. my BIL used to stay in Kuching before . many years tok kaduk lama dah dulu but he kept saying "town kecik..jalan pon dekat"...feeling ala-ala tourist kitaorang pon jalan la...and jalan...and jalan...and jalan...sampai hujan ko! thank God i was wearing flats! tak jumpe tempat makan tapi jumpe bank behind the Yayasan Sarawak. and us being friendly and all, dapat la kawan baru yang bole tolong drive us to Top Spot. hati berbunga riang, perut bergendang kuat.

Just in time sampai, the place pon baru bukak. we were among the first customer. Alisa dah pesan, "cari Ling Loong Seafood when ure there cuz they serve halal food" and that's what we did. went straight to the shop. got a table. and straight away order! muke masing2 dah ketat. lapauuuuu wehhh!  ketam, ikan , udang sayur, tomyam and nasi putih utk 9 org. half way add on lagi udang, sayur and nasi putih 4. puas hati sehhhh~ for once i wanted to recite the pantun; gendang gendut tali kecapi, kenyang perut suka hati! ...hahaha. serious it was demz nice! even nicer when the bill totaled up to RM167....ONLY! for 9 mulut tu consider murah tauu...murah amat! lil Dino pon tambah nasi 2 kali...mak dia apatah lagikk...LOL. orang yang duduk sebelah i kiri kanan memang sah-sah la 2 mangkuk nasi confirm. i broke my 'no-rice' diet because of this and it was worth it! phewwww~ 

so full, we had a serious case of malas. malas nak jalan dah...hahaha...but then while borak2 baru teringat there were a few more friends yang kirim kek lapis lagi. so again....ber-perahu akak petang tue. this time, tahap jakun dah kurang. tahap pikir benda lain plak...like can i feel the water ala2 nak splash gitew..or how come it's only 50cents per person? mahal tak nak maintain perahu pakcik nih? nak aja aku interview pakcik nie...tapi segan. maybe if i ever go again ill do that kan...hmmmmm...this trip we beli dekat Kek Lapis Mira. we got to know, their cakes lagi moist and ada macam2 nama. ada kek lapis famous amos, kek lapis michael jackson, kek lapis 1Malaysia, kek lapis Maher Zain and even kek lapis Ombak Rindu! haaa...ko hado? kelasssss nama-nama kek sekalian kan? sangat glam! 

on the way back elok jer sampai kat jetty, hujan lebat! maksu had to fetch us with umbrellas. basah tapi nasib tak kuyup. while tunggu reda, we coffee2 jap at this place called Khatulistiwa. very nice ambiance. then later headed back to the hotel. took a cab from the same place we took semalamnya. sampai abang driver tu pon dah tahu which place we were staying. small town eh? hahaha..and we were lucky to have met Abang Nik. he was one of the taxi driver. he offered to bring us jalan2 to 5 places the next day...like a tour package for only rm250. gud deal dont u think? lepas discuss and all we decided to take his offer...until he mentioned that he'll be arriving esok at 8am. aiyarkkkk! so early meh?
